Job summary

Hope Childcare Ballyphehane in Ireland is seeking warm, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to join our professional and caring team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-quality early year setting where children's learning, development, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

Two positions are available: a 20-hour per week role (Mon-Fri, 9:00am–1:00pm) and a full-time 40-hour role. The rate of pay starts at €15.00 per hour, with level 5 rates based on ERO guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education.
• Garda Vetting and reference checks required.
• Right to work in Ireland.
• Fluency in English.

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
• Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Assist with planning, observations, and record keeping.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and promoting inclusion.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Garda Vetting and reference checks required.
• Right to work in Ireland
• Fluency in English language
• Police clearance from any country you have lived in for 6 months or more since turning 18 years.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience working in an early years setting.
• Knowledge of Aistear and Síolta.
• First Aid, Manual Handling, and Children First training.
