Job summary

Barry Group in Mallow, Co. Cork, is seeking a General Operative to join our Warehouse Team on a full-time basis. The role is 39 hours per week, focusing on efficient stock handling and accurate order fulfillment.

You will work to SOPs, operate a scanner and a motorised truck, and contribute to safe, efficient loading and packing while upholding quality and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and stock handling.
• Understanding of supply chain functions.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and focus on customer service.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability to cover varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a scanner and a motorised truck.
• Pick products to meet order requirements and rotate stock by batch numbers and dates.
• Ensure pallets are built stably to meet customer specs and loading efficiency.
• Assist in overall warehouse operations.
• Adhere to health, safety and HACCP policies; follow cleaning policy.
• Comply with all safety procedures and waste management policy.
• Carry out ad-hoc duties as required.
