Job summary

Sherpa Kids in Meath seeks a Programme Coordinator for Kildalkey National School. The role is part-time, supporting after-school programmes, leading a small team and coordinating daily activities with children.

The ideal candidate has childcare experience, English proficiency, and a valid Garda vetting; own car preferred for site travel; familiar with Word, Outlook and Teams; references required.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and leading a team.
• Own car required for programme lead.
• Maintain the day-to-day activities.
• Interacting with the children, their families and other staff members each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Experience with school aged children preferred (minimum 2 years).
• Proficiency in technology and software (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Experience working with School Aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Childcare qualification Fetac Level 5 or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview).
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Own car required for programme lead.
• Maintain the day-to-day activities.
• Interact with children, families and staff daily.
• Provide energetic, engaging activities for school aged children.
• Support programme delivery at Kildalkey National School.
• Coordinate with school and caregivers to ensure smooth operations.
