Mullingar Supermarkets in Mullingar, County Westmeath, seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations and deliver outstanding customer service and fresh-food standards.

You will set sales targets, manage staff, balance tills, implement planograms, and uphold brand values while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and efficient shopping environment.

Strong communication, KPI focus and commercial awareness are essential to drive profitability.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a management position.
• Experience balancing cash/tills.
• Ability to achieve KPIs and targets.

• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store.

• Develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful environment.
• Support Store Manager in team development and training for smooth store operation.
• Manage staff performance with regular feedback and recognition.
• Handle customer queries efficiently and in line with store policy.
• Understand margins in all departments.
• Engage with new initiatives and adapt to new ways of working.

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times in a clean, safe environment. To deliver on key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Minimum 2 years€,, experience in a management position;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word);
• Experience balancing cash/tills;
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic;
• An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets;
• Commerciality and brand awareness;
• Passion for grocery retail;
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
