Job summary

Manna is hiring a Battery Management / Powertrain Engineer in Ireland to drive development, testing and optimisation of drone power systems. You will focus on battery evaluation, efficiency improvements and new chemistries while ensuring safety, reliability and scalable performance across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Power/Mechatronic Eng or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in battery systems or power electronics.
• Strong knowledge of battery chemistry and BMS, incl. SOC/SOH, cell balancing, voltage/current protection, thermal control.
• Experience with Lithium-ion chemistries (NMC, LCO, LiPo).
• Experience with battery testing procedures and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimise drone power systems with emphasis on safety, efficiency and reliability.
• Lead battery-related activities across geographies and environments (USA, UAE, Ireland).
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers on scalable battery systems and smart charging tech.
• Define and implement best practices for safe charging/discharging and lifetime management.
• Maintain battery ground tests and commissioning systems for repeatability and safety.
• Manage vendor partnerships to ensure supply chain reliability and technical quality at scale.
