Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire Ireland – Blanchardstown, Dublin is seeking a professional and customer‑focused Driver to join our busy branch. You will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of vehicles between Northgate locations, customer sites, suppliers and third‑party locations.

This full‑time, permanent role offers a stable career with progression, ongoing training and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Full clean Category B driving licence
• Excellent driving record and strong awareness of road safety regulations
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Professional, reliable, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Category C (Rigid) licence
• Previous experience within vehicle rental, logistics, transport, or delivery operations
• Experience driving light commercial vehicles
• Knowledge of fleet operations

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect vehicles from customers, suppliers, and Northgate locations
• Complete inter-branch vehicle transfers as required
• Ensure vehicles are moved safely, efficiently, and on time
• Carry out vehicle handovers and collections professionally
• Conduct pre- and post-movement vehicle inspections, including damage checks, fuel levels, and cleanliness
• Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant before movement
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues throughout the day
• Support the rental and workshop teams with vehicle preparation and operational requirements
• Assist with general yard duties, vehicle organisation, and parking
• Adhere to all road traffic legislation, company policies, and health and safety procedures

We are now looking for a professional and customer‑focused Driver to join our busy Blanchardstown branch.

The Role

As a Driver, you will play a vital role in keeping our operation moving. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of vehicles between Northgate branches, customer sites, suppliers, and third‑party locations.

This is far more than simply driving from A to B. You will be one of the faces of Northgate, representing our business and delivering excellent customer service while helping to maximise vehicle availability across our fleet.
