The Opportunity

A highly regarded UK-based regulated funds governance and oversight platform is establishing an Irish regulated business through a combination of inorganic and organic growth and is seeking to appoint a Designated Person – Distribution (PCF-39E).

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and talented funds professional with relevant distribution experience to step into a Designated Person role within an established Irish platform, working alongside an experienced team and benefiting from the resources of the wider UK group, with significant scope to develop as the Irish and European business grows.

The role offers significant development potential for someone who already understands the funds and distribution environment and is ready to take on greater ownership, regulatory responsibility and Board-level exposure as the business grows.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for the firm's distribution oversight framework, ensuring appropriate governance, regulatory compliance and oversight of distribution arrangements.

The position will also be relatively broad, providing exposure to the wider business and an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the Irish platform alongside colleagues in Ireland and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and enhance the distribution oversight framework in line with CBI, UCITS, AIFMD and MiFID requirements.
• Oversee delegated distribution activities, including appropriate monitoring, due diligence and challenge of distributors and other delegates.
• Work with investment managers on distribution strategies, target markets and governance across relevant jurisdictions.
• Prepare Board reporting and contribute to governance processes relating to distribution activity.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support the continued development of distribution policies, procedures and controls.
• Review relevant fund and distribution documentation, including prospectuses, KIIDs/KIDs and marketing materials where appropriate.
• Build effective relationships with investment managers, distributors, service providers, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Irish operating model and work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider UK platform.

The Individual

We are particularly interested in speaking with high-potential funds professionals who are ready to step into a broader Distribution Oversight / PCF-39E role and grow with the business.

Relevant experience could have been gained within a ManCo, asset manager, asset servicing business, fund administrator or other regulated funds environment and may include:

• Distribution Oversight & Governance > Experience supporting distribution oversight, distributor/delegate due diligence, governance, policies, procedures or regulatory reporting.
• Transferable Distribution Experience > Relevant experience across areas such as fund registrations, Transfer Agency, AML/investor onboarding, distribution support, marketing documentation, product governance or distributor servicing.
• Fund & Regulatory Knowledge > Understanding of the funds environment and exposure to UCITS, AIFs, CP86, AIFMD, MiFID or related distribution requirements. Experience across different fund structures, asset classes, investor types or jurisdictions would be advantageous.
• Stakeholder & Client Engagement > Experience working with investment managers, clients, distributors, service providers, senior management or Boards, with the communication skills to develop into a credible senior stakeholder.
• Potential & Mindset > Bright, ambitious and adaptable, with sound judgement, strong communication skills and the willingness to take ownership, learn and contribute beyond a narrowly defined remit.

Previous PCF-39E approval is not required.
