Job summary

Orange Recruitment is partnering with a leading property services organisation to recruit a Qualified Electrician for a varied role in their Property Maintenance team. You will handle planned maintenance, upgrades, inspections, installations and reactive repairs across residential and commercial properties.

You will troubleshoot faults, perform rewiring as needed, and deliver safe, compliant electrical solutions while maintaining strong customer service and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with recognised trade certification.
• 4–5 years' post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, housing or commercial maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding, testing, inspection, maintenance and rewiring skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of electrical regulations and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs and installation works across residential and commercial properties.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently with minimal disruption to tenants and clients.
• Complete upgrades, servicing and preventative maintenance on various electrical systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections, testing and certification per regulations and Qualified Certifier requirements.
• Undertake minor and full rewiring projects to high standards.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and reactive maintenance promptly.
• Work independently and with the maintenance team to hit service targets.
• Organise daily workloads and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate digital records, reports and certification documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Represent the company professionally on client sites.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified Electrician with recognised trade certification.
• Minimum of 4-5 years' post-apprenticeship experience.
• Previous experience within property maintenance, facilities management, housing, or commercial maintenance environments is highly desirable.
• Strong fault-finding, testing, inspection, maintenance, and rewiring experience.
• Excellent knowledge of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and prioritise effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and compliance.
• Full clean driving licence preferred.
