Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment is seeking an Energy Engineer for a hybrid role in Dublin. The successful candidate will support district heating project development, assess sites, coordinate technical design work and engage with customers and stakeholders.

You should have 3+ years in energy or renewable heating, GIS experience (ArcGIS preferred), strong technical reporting skills, and be comfortable travelling with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant qualification.
• 3+ years' experience in energy, building services or renewable heating.
• GIS experience, ideally ArcGIS.
• Strong technical, analytical and project coordination skills.
• Confident dealing with customers and preparing technical reports.
• Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Full driving licence, willingness to travel and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• District heating experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess the technical and commercial viability of potential projects.
• Manage project mapping and customer information using GIS software.
• Support the design of energy centres, heat networks and building connections.
• Coordinate external consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Develop customer relationships and understand their heating requirements.
• Lead grant applications with support from colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations.
• Monitor project progress and report against development targets.
• Support business strategy, industry engagement and policy discussions.
