Job summary

Apple Cork is seeking a Distribution Operations Specialist to manage asset delivery and tracking for Apple branded original content. You will coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure timely delivery of video, audio, and ancillary assets, while maintaining quality and SOP adherence.

Join a fast-paced, cross-functional team supporting EST/VOD, OTT, and subscription platforms from Cork, Ireland. Night shifts and occasional travel may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in Asset Distribution Operations in a studio, network, or related facility.
• Strong understanding of file-based delivery standards and practices.
• Experience with episodic and movie distribution servicing workflows.
• Knowledge of AV containers, codecs, and file formats.
• Collaborative, organized and a team player.
• Able to work under pressure on large, time-critical projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Must follow SOPs and know when to escalate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day initiation, tracking, and troubleshooting of distribution activities across systems.
• Collaborate with Ingest and Distribution Operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor milestones and delivery due dates; issue alerts for transfers or system failures; report status to stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery packages include video, ancillary assets, metadata, and are properly formatted.
• Monitor delivery queues to meet high-priority orders and SLAs.
• Act as first line of defense for delivery failures; diagnose and re-initiate failed deliveries; escalate complex issues.
• Demonstrate knowledge of digital archival principles and industry-standard file formats.

We have a new opportunity for a Distribution Operations Specialist to join the Original Content Services Operations team in Cork, Ireland. You will be responsible for asset distribution, and servicing and tracking for Apple branded original content.

Responsibilities include working with internal and external partners, facilitating delivery of all video, audio, and ancillary assets, defining expectations, managing exceptions, troubleshooting rejections and various platform functionality, with the number one goal of on time and accurate delivery and representation of our branded content.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day initiation, tracking, and troubleshooting of distribution activities through various systems.
• Collaborate with the Ingest and Distribution Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of critical distribution tasks.
• Monitor all milestone and delivery due dates, issue alerts if transfers or system failures arise, and report status throughout final delivery to Distribution Operations Management and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all required components of a delivery package (video, ancillary assets, metadata, etc) are present and formatted properly before distributions are initiated.
• Monitor delivery queues ensuring high priority orders and SLAs are met.
• Act as the first line of defence for delivery failures; diagnose transfer errors, re-initiate failed deliveries, and elevate complex technical issues.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of digital archival principle, industry standard file formats and delivery best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience of working in Asset Distribution Operations at a studio, television network, or industry-related facility is ideal.
• You have a strong understanding of file-based delivery standards and practices.
• Experience and understanding of episodic and movie distribution servicing workflows.
• Knowledgeable of Audio/Video containers, codecs, and file formats.
• Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware (macOS, iOS, Apple Music, App Store, Books, Podcasts, Apple tv+, Vision Pro, Fitness+ etc.).
• You are collaborative, organised and a team player.
• You work well under pressure with experience working on large-scale and time-critical projects.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment.
• Must be able to follow strict SOPs and understand when to elevate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Up to 5% + travel is expected; both domestic and international as part of the role.
• A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates critical thinking abilities.
