Job summary

TerraGlen Residential Care Services in Rochestown, Co. Wexford, is seeking a Social Care Worker to provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, promoting dignity and independence within a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on daily living, community inclusion, and safeguarding, with ongoing training, supervision, and a commitment to professional development within a values-driven service.

Qualifications

• Level 7+ qualification in Applied Social Care or CORU-approved discipline is required.
• CORU registration (or proof of application) is mandatory.
• RPL/APC routes may be recognised for progression.
• A full, clean driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in daily living, community inclusion, and independent living skills.
• Promote dignity, choice, and active participation in line with New Directions.
• Support service users with personal care, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
• Participate as a Key Worker and contribute to individual personal plans.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate records in line with HIQA standards and TerraGlen policies.
• Support safeguarding practices, risk reporting, and quality improvements.
• Work collaboratively as part of a warm, respectful team environment.
