Job summary

TerraGlen Residential Care Services in Ireland is seeking a Social Care Worker for Disability Services in Dunleer, Co. Louth. This permanent, full-time role focuses on person-centred support, dignity, and promoting independence for people with disabilities.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, maintain HIQA-compliant records, and participate as a Key Worker while pursuing CORU registration and ongoing professional development. A valid driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 7 or higher qualification in Applied Social Care or CORU-approved discipline.
• CORU Registration (or proof of CORU application) - mandatory as per the Social Care Workers Registration Board.
• Recognition of Prior Learning / Assessment of Professional Competence route.
• Full, clean Driving Licence.
• A genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in daily living, community inclusion, and independent living skills.
• Promote dignity, choice, and active participation in line with New Directions.
• Support service users with personal care, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
• Participate as a Key Worker and contribute to individual personal plans.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate records in line with HIQA standards and TerraGlen policies.
• Support safeguarding practices, risk reporting, and quality improvements.
• Work collaboratively as part of a warm, respectful team environment.
