Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Second Line of Defense - Technology Risk to provide independent oversight of technology risks across Europe, ensuring alignment with IT policies, controls and regulatory expectations. You will support risk management across markets and lead clear risk reporting to governance forums.

Qualifications

• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience in second line of defense roles, providing independent oversight.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience presenting to senior management and governance forums.
• Familiarity with ISO, NIST CSF or other international standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent second-line oversight of market (Europe) risks focusing on technology risk.
• Support maintenance of a technology risk management framework in line with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver risk reporting for market and group governance forums.
• Review regulatory requirements and responses to supervisory inspections and feedback.
• Oversee security and resilience frameworks and policies for the local market.
• Oversee metrics focused on technology and security risk, ensuring actionable insights.
