Job summary

Cook Ireland is looking for a Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead Production, Procurement, Q&C, Facilities, and HSE, reporting to VP & GM. You will set short-, medium-, and long-term objectives and ensure alignment with global direction across the site in Limerick.

This role requires 7+ years in senior Manufacturing Operations management, strong budgeting and supply-chain understanding, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Third level degree in a relevant field and senior management experience.
• Minimum 7 years of management experience leading Manufacturing Operations.
• Understanding of Production & Supply Chain management and budgeting.
• Experience in the European medical device market is advantageous.
• Proficient with MS Office; strong problem-solving and organisation skills.
• Willingness to travel on company business.

Responsibilities

• Develop short, medium and long term objectives for the Operations Function.
• Implement operational strategies and monitor performance against them.
• Collaborate with all areas to ensure smooth operations in Ireland.
• Ensure compliance with quality system policies and procedures and audits.
• Manage budgets and expenses; control purchasing and overhead costs.
• Oversee staffing, productivity, and continuous improvement to eliminate waste.
• Provide coaching and escalation support to senior managers and reports.
