Job summary

MSD is seeking a Director, Digital Plant Lead to develop an integrated digital capability strategy across Research facilities, including MES, ERP, planning, and inventory management. You will design digital plant capabilities, harmonize systems across sites, and drive data governance aligned with FAIR principles.

The role requires 8+ years in digital manufacturing or plant automation, plus expertise in enterprise systems. Hybrid work options and a broad benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a digital manufacturing support, plant automation or related technical field.
• Pharma manufacturing or supply chain experience preferred.
• Translate complex requirements from non-technical stakeholders into actionable specs for system design.
• Experience supporting implementation/upgrade of MES or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate business process needs into system implementation requirements for MES/ERP.
• Provide virtual plant design across enterprise systems and leverage best practices.
• Align enterprise system implementations across sites and divisions for interoperability.
• Drive business process transformation to ensure processes are executed in enterprise systems.
• Define and track KPIs to monitor system adoption and value realization.
