Job summary

Citi is seeking a Director, Operations AI Governance & AI-First Ways of Working to lead governance, prioritisation, and adoption of AI across Citi's global Operations function. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability for managing the Operations AI use case pipeline — ensuring that investment is aligned to strategic priorities, and that AI capabilities are adopted consistently.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in operations or related function with leadership of large, matrixed teams.
• Proven ability to govern complex, cross-functional programmes with budgets and outcomes.
• Track record of leading organisational change and capability adoption at scale.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability to evaluate AI use cases.
• Ability to assess risk with governance, controls, and ethical judgement.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI intake process from end to end, evaluating and governing AI use cases.
• Drive AI-first ways of working across Operations and embed new tooling.
• Chair cross-functional Operations forums for prioritisation and governance.
• Partner with Product leads to align use case prioritisation and planning.
• Define and track adoption metrics and business value across AI capabilities.
• Guide teams through tooling adoption and evolving ways of working.
• Lead senior operations managers, setting performance expectations and structure.
