Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Director of Security Engineering to lead a globally distributed team of ~20 engineers. You will own AI-powered security capabilities and embed security by design across product, infra, and application teams to deliver resilient, automated outcomes.

You will drive security architecture, risk assessment, and governance across Data & AI/ML platforms, partnering with product and technology leads to scale secure solutions firm‑wide.

Responsibilities

• Leads and scale a globally distributed security engineering organization delivering high‑impact platforms and services across the firm.
• Owns the strategy, execution, and lifecycle management of AI/ML security products and drives platform adoption.
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams.
• Holds accountability for decisions that influence resources, budget, operations, and processes.
• Delivers technical solutions that can be reused across multiple businesses and domains.
• Develops and executes the function’s objectives and outcomes.
• Manages staffing, budget, and profit and loss responsibilities.
• Champions a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
• Leads risk and control strategies for Data & AI/ML services in cloud.
• Oversees risk-based assessments of technology controls for Data & AI/ML cloud services.
