Job Description Company & Role Overview A global life-sciences technology organisation is seeking a Lean / Opex Director to lead Continuous Improvement across a manufacturing operation in Ireland. The role will develop and deploy a Lean/Opex Operating System, partnering with site leadership to deliver sustainable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity (SQDCP). The position combines strategic leadership, hands‑on transformation, coaching and Lean capability building, with collaboration across global sites to standardise and share best practices. Role Responsibilities Develop and execute the Lean/Opex strategy and deployment roadmap. Lead major Lean and Operational Excellence transformations. Facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Structured Problem Solving and Kaizen. Implement Daily Management, Visual Management and Standard Work. Identify and eliminate waste to improve productivity, cost, quality and delivery. Train and coach leaders and teams in Lean/Opex methodologies. Build sustainable Continuous Improvement capability and culture. Benchmark and standardise best practices across sites. Deliver measurable SQDCP improvements. Required Experience 10+ years' manufacturing/industrial experience. Strong Lean Manufacturing / Operational Excellence / CI background. Proven track record of delivering sustainable business results. Experience deploying a Lean Operating System. Strong knowledge of VSM, Kaizen, SMED, 6S, Daily Management, Visual Management, Standard Work, Kanban and OEE. Experience influencing senior leadership and shop‑floor teams. Strong leadership, coaching, facilitation and problem‑solving skills. Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. PMP or equivalent project management experience preferred. Skills: OpEx Lean Six Sigma Operational Excellence
