Job summary

Novartis Ireland Ltd. seeks an Associate Director/Director in Biostatistics (HTA) in Dublin, hybrid work. The role provides strategic statistical leadership for Health Technology Assessment, pricing and reimbursement, and market access.

You will partner with International Value & Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Real-World Evidence teams to deliver payer-relevant evidence. This leadership role emphasizes external collaboration, publication activity, and high-quality

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or related quantitative field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in HTA, reimbursement evidence generation, and indirect treatment comparison methods.
• Advanced understanding of drug development and HTA/reimbursement evidence needs across major regions.
• Ability to lead multiple complex projects and influence senior decision-making in a global matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic statistical leadership for HTA, pricing and reimbursement, market access, and evidence-generation activities across programs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure rigorous, decision-relevant HTA evidence.
• Lead and implement efficient HTA methods and evidence synthesis strategies.
• Coach and mentor biostatisticians in HTA methods and scientific communication.
• Support responses to payers and HTA questions and contribute to scientific interactions with decision-making agencies.
