Job summary

The Panel is seeking a Director, Financial Reporting in Dublin to lead the delivery of fund financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of international investment funds. You will guide multiple reporting teams, partner with clients and stakeholders, and oversee governance, regulatory compliance and transformation initiatives.

You will drive the technical accounting oversight across IFRS, US GAAP and Lux GAAP, while building senior relationships with fund managers, boards and auditors.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in fund administration and asset servicing.
• 12+ years in funds/financial services with client-facing exposure.
• Deep technical expertise in fund accounting and reporting (IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP).
• Experience across multiple fund structures and jurisdictions.
• Strong client-facing and relationship-management capabilities.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) or equivalent.

Job description

The Panel is working exclusively with our client, a leading global funds and asset servicing organisation, to appoint a Director, Financial Reporting to lead the delivery of fund financial reporting services across a diverse portfolio of international investment fund clients.

This is a senior leadership appointment, responsible for the strategic direction, governance, technical accounting oversight and operational excellence of the Financial Reporting function. The successful candidate will lead multiple reporting teams, partner with key clients and stakeholders, and play a critical role in driving transformation, regulatory compliance and service excellence across the business. The role is based in Dublin.

In this role, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership for the Financial Reporting function, overseeing the delivery of annual and semi-annual financial statements for a broad range of investment fund structures
• Lead and develop senior managers and high-performing reporting teams across multiple jurisdictions
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex accounting, regulatory, audit and client matters
• Provide technical oversight and governance across IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP and other relevant reporting frameworks
• Build and maintain senior relationships with investment managers, fund boards, auditors, regulators and other key stakeholders
• Ensure the highest standards of client service, risk management and regulatory compliance
• Drive operational excellence through process enhancement, automation and technology-enabled transformation initiative
• Contribute to the strategic development of the business and support growth initiatives, new client onboarding and product expansion
• Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and talent development

Candidate Profile

• Significant leadership experience within fund administration, asset servicing, investment operations or financial reporting environments
• A proven track record of managing large-scale Financial Reporting functions and leading senior teams across multiple jurisdictions
• 12+ years' experience within funds, asset management, fund administration or financial services, with substantial financial reporting and client-facing experience
• Deep technical expertise in investment fund accounting and financial reporting, including IFRS, US GAAP and Lux GAAP
• Strong knowledge of a broad range of fund structures, including Mutual Funds, UCITS, Hedge Funds, Private Markets and alternative investment vehicles
• Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships, audits, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
• A strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives
• Proven experience leading change, transformation and operational improvement programmes
• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
