Job summary

Tirlán is undergoing a major IT transformation and seeks an IT Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, development and transformation of the Digital Finance technology capability. You will own the Finance application landscape including SAP FI/CO, consolidation and treasury, partnering with the Head of Finance CoE to translate strategy into a clear roadmap.

Role Profile

We are seeking an experienced IT Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, development and transformation of Tirlán’s Digital Finance technology capability.

Reporting to the Head of Finance CoE, the IT Finance Manager will take operational and delivery ownership of the Finance application landscape, including SAP Finance, consolidation, treasury and associated Finance platforms. The role will work closely with the Head of Finance CoE and Tirlán’s Finance function to translate the overall Finance technology strategy into a clear roadmap, prioritised investment plan and successful programme of change.

This leadership role requires a blend of strong SAP and technology expertise, together with a deep understanding of Finance processes. The successful candidate will lead a specialist Digital Finance team, ensuring the reliable operation of critical Finance systems while driving technology-enabled transformation across the function.

What You’ll Do

• Own and manage the Finance application portfolio, including SAP FI/CO, Treasury, Consolidation, reporting, integrations and related platforms.
• Partner with the Head of Finance CoE to define and deliver Tirlán's Digital Finance strategy, roadmap and investment priorities.
• Build strong relationships with Finance stakeholders, IT teams and third-party providers to ensure aligned delivery and business value.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Digital Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Translate Finance business priorities into a structured portfolio of projects, enhancements and transformation initiatives.
• Ensure the successful delivery of Finance technology projects, maintaining strong governance, quality standards, budget control and benefits realisation.
• Oversee day-to-day service performance, ensuring system stability and support during critical financial cycles including month-end, year-end, planning and forecasting.
• Maintain robust governance across the Finance technology landscape, including security, access management, compliance, data integrity and financial controls.
• Drive process simplification and innovation through SAP capabilities, automation, analytics, data solutions and emerging technologies.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Finance CoE on service performance, delivery progress, risks, investment requirements and strategic priorities.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven leadership experience managing business-critical Finance applications, operational services and specialist teams within a complex organisation.
• Strong SAP Finance expertise, particularly SAP FI/CO and/or S/4HANA Finance, with a solid understanding of wider SAP integrations.
• Deep knowledge of Finance processes, including record-to-report, treasury, consolidation, planning, forecasting, reporting and financial controls.
• Demonstrated success delivering Finance technology transformation, including roadmap development, system implementation, automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior Finance leaders and effectively manage vendors and partners.
• Excellent strategic, analytical and communication skills, ideally supported by relevant qualifications in IT, SAP, Finance, project management or service management.
