Job summary

Crewit Resourcing Group is seeking a Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team in Ireland. You will inspect, service, repair and fault-diagnose diesel generators and construction plant equipment to maximise reliability and uptime for customers and operations.

The role involves on-site and field service work with some on-call duty. You’ll work with a range of generator brands, read technical manuals, and maintain documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in diesel mechanics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing and repairing diesel engines and generators.
• Strong fault-finding across diesel fuel and electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and repairs on diesel generators.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel and hydraulic faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections per manufacturer specs.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Assist with on-call rota and field service tasks.
