Job summary

The Recruitment Company in Dublin seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with a strong AppSec focus to join a technical team. This long-term contract role offers hybrid work in Dublin and a daily rate up to €500.

You will work across application development, cloud and DevOps, integrating security into the software development lifecycle, identifying vulnerabilities, and remediating across web, API and mobile apps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience, with at least 2 years in Application Security.
• Strong OWASP Top 10 knowledge across web, API, mobile.
• Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps environments.
• Hands-on with SAST and DAST tools.
• Ability to read, understand and edit code at intermediate level.
• Knowledge of secure coding, authentication, authorization, encryption.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across web applications, APIs and mobile applications.
• Use SAST and DAST tools to identify security weaknesses before code reaches production.

Long-term Contract | Up to €500/day | Hybrid - Dublin

Are you a developer who has moved into security, or an Application Security Engineer who is comfortable working with code?

We're looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with a strong AppSec focus to join a technical team focused on building security into the software development lifecycle, identifying vulnerabilities early and ensuring secure code makes it into production.

This is an opportunity to work across application development, cloud and DevOps, helping development teams identify and address security risks before they become a problem.

What You'll Be Doing

• Integrating security into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities across web applications, APIs and mobile applications.
• Using SAST and DAST tools to identify security weaknesses before code reaches production.
• Working closely with developers and DevOps teams to improve secure coding practices.
• Applying knowledge of authentication, authorisation, data validation and encryption to strengthen application security.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in IT, including at least 2 years in Application Security.
• Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10 across web, API and mobile applications.
• Experience working within a DevOps or DevSecOps environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools.
• Ability to read, understand and edit code at an intermediate level.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles, authentication and authorisation, and encryption.

Certifications in areas such as PortSwigger, Offensive Security, AWS or Azure would be advantageous.
