Job summary

BACP- Community Employment is seeking a Childcare Assistant for Liscarroll Community Creche. This developmental role offers accredited training and no previous experience is required.

You will work with a team to support the children and follow safeguarding policies. Responsibilities include supervising children, promoting development across physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social areas, and contributing to daily curriculum under Aistear & Siolta standards.

Qualifications

• This is a developmental opportunity; no experience is necessary.
• Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
• Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda Vetting application form.

Responsibilities

• Day to day responsibility of the children in the service in conjunction with the team.
• Ensure child safety at all times, in conjunction with the team.
• Liaise with the Room Leader and childcare team around work to be completed.
• Communicate effectively - written & oral.
• Work as part of a team.
• Work with other staff to ensure curriculum is carried out daily.
• Give input to the curriculum e.g. ideas for activities.
• Promote all areas of child development: physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional & social.
• Carry out all work under Aistear & Siolta standards.
• Follow the policies & procedures of the service at all times.
