Job summary

TIR NA NOG Ballydesmond Ltd invites applications for a Childcare Assistant. This developmental opportunity requires no previous experience; accredited training will be provided and you will work with a Room Leader to support children in the service.

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups.

Qualifications

• No experience required; accredited training will be provided.
• Assist Room Leader in caring for children.
• Ensure child safety and hygiene.
• Work as part of a team to deliver curriculum.

Responsibilities

• This is a developmental opportunity; no experience necessary.
• In conjunction with the Room Leader, have responsibility for children attending the service.
• Ensure child safety at all times.
• Liaise with Room Leader and Manager around work that needs completing.
• Work as part of a team.
• Work with other staff to ensure curriculum is carried out.
• Promote the child in all areas of development: Physical, language, intellectual, emotional and social.
