Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Dublin is seeking a Construction and Development Manager to support senior management in planning, coordinating and delivering major development projects in the Greater Dublin area. You will oversee technical development from planning to handover with engineers, architects, contractors and regulators.

The role requires strong technical judgement, risk management and commercial awareness to ensure projects are on programme, within budget and meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Engineering (Civil, Structural or Building Services), Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years' experience in engineering, project management or development delivery within the Irish construction or property sector.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, infrastructure delivery and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Good working knowledge of Irish planning processes, building regulations and BCAR compliance.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability.
• Experience working across design, procurement and construction stages of projects.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Construction and Development Director in progressing projects from feasibility through to completion.
• Perform technical review of designs for practicality, buildability and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across architects, civil/structural, MEP, planning consultants and cost consultants.
• Review design proposals, infrastructure layouts and construction methodologies.
• Assist with planning applications and technical documentation for strategy alignment.
• Drive design development and ensure multidisciplinary coordination.
• Assist with contractor procurement and tender evaluation.
• Monitor progress, quality and programme delivery during build.
• Ensure compliance with Irish regulations, BCAR and safety standards.
• Maintain project documentation and progress reporting.
