Job summary

Walls Construction in Ireland, Dublin region, seeks a Design Manager to oversee the technical management of our building projects. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate with external consultants and third parties to ensure design integrity and delivery.

The role requires a degree-level qualification in engineering or construction management, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in contracting environments, with a focus on safety, quality and timely

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in engineering, construction management or related subject.
• Post graduate qualifications and/or membership of Engineers Ireland desirable.
• Experience in a contracting environment is required.
• Ability to work to deadlines with health and safety and programme awareness.

Job description

Reporting to the Project Manager the Design Manager is responsible for the technical management of the building project. They should be methodical in their approach, capable of managing multidisciplinary teams, experienced in dealing with design team and other third parties and have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

A number of years relevant experience in a contracting environment is required as are problem solving skills, the ability to work to deadlines and an appreciation for health and safety, quality, programme and commercial return.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree level qualification in engineering, construction management or related subject, while post graduate qualifications and/or membership of a relevant professional institute such as Engineers Ireland is desirable.
