Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Ireland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of civil projects. You will conduct site surveying, setting out, manage health and safety, liaise with clients/consultancies, and ensure quality and documentation are maintained on site.

The role requires a full clean driving license, civil/road infrastructure experience, and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. A relevant qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication with clients, consultants and site team.

  • Ensure all work is produced to the highest quality standard.
  • Regularly complete the site diary and paperwork.
  • Be present for site meetings, ensuring issues on site are discussed and amended.
  • Ensure Health and Safety is implemented throughout site.
  • Liaise with Clients / Consultancies when necessary.

The Role.

GMC are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team.

The successful Site Engineer will be supporting the delivery of projects across all aspects of the business from a construction point of view. A strong ethos on health and safety, compliance, reporting, and documentation are essential qualities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:
  • Full clean driver's license essential.
  • A relevant qualification is desirable.
  • Civils, drainage, road infrastructure experience.
  • Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Time management abilities to meet targets.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
