Job summary

3D Personnel is seeking a Design Engineer to support the development, coordination and delivery of design solutions across all project disciplines for data centre and mission-critical projects from concept through to construction.

You will prepare and review drawings, specifications and technical documentation, coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders, and assist in managing RFIs to ensure timely responses and compliant design deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplines.

• Assist in ensuring design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on design-related activities.

• Liaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on site.
• Assist in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queries.
• Support the review and approval process for technical submittals and design documentation.
• Ensure effective coordination between CSA and MEP design elements.
• Identify and assist in resolving design, technical, and coordination issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support commercial teams by identifying design-related risks and potential variations.

• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
