Job summary

Winthrop Technologies in Dublin, Ireland is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join the project team. You will support development, coordination and delivery of design solutions across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure designs meet project requirements.

You will coordinate with internal teams, consultants and stakeholders, review drawings and technical documentation, and assist on-site to ensure design intent is implemented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplines
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Assist in ensuring design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on design-related activities
• Participate in Design Meetings, Coordination Meetings, and Project Reviews
• Liaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on site
• Assist in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queries
• Support the review and approval process for technical submittals and design documentation
• Ensure effective coordination between CSA and MEP design elements
• Identify and assist in resolving design, technical, and coordination issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Support commercial teams by identifying design-related risks and potential variations
