Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment seeks a Design Coordinator in Galway to support design delivery from pre-construction through to handover on residential, schools, healthcare and pharma projects. You will coordinate design activities between internal teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.

The role requires a third-level qualification in Engineering/Architecture or related field, at least 3 years in design coordination, and strong BIM/BCAR knowledge.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Design Coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.
• Previous residential project experience.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, BCAR and document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities between internal teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Support the Design Manager and Senior Project Team throughout all stages of project delivery.
• Assist with the implementation and management of project design plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Maintain design deliverable registers, trackers, and project documentation.
• Review design information for constructability and identify potential risks or issues.
• Monitor the flow of design information to ensure alignment with project programmes and procurement schedules.
• Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.

The Role
