Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment is recruiting for a Design Coordinator in Galway, Ireland, with site visits and exposure to residential, schools, healthcare and pharma projects. The role reports to the Design Manager and focuses on coordinating design across teams to ensure successful delivery from pre-construction to handover.

The ideal candidate has a third-level qualification in a related field and at least 3 years in a Design Coordinator role, with strong BIM, BCAR and document control skills.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Design Coordinator or similar in construction.
• Previous residential project experience.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, BCAR and document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities between internal teams, consultants and subcontractors to meet project objectives.
• Support the Design Manager and Senior Project Team through all stages of delivery.
• Assist with implementation and management of project design plans and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain design deliverable registers, trackers and project documentation.
• Review design information for constructability and identify risks or issues.
• Monitor flow of design information to align with programmes and procurement schedules.
• Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to support project outcomes.

The Role

Reporting to the Design Manager, the Design Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities between internal teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Support the Design Manager and Senior Project Team throughout all stages of project delivery.
