Job summary

Design Build Search are working with an international construction company who continues to expand throughout Ireland and Europe. They have an opening for a Design Coordinator or Manager based in their Maynooth office.

The successful applicant must have extensive design experience with a main contractor, with prior data centre or industrial project exposure. You will coordinate design deliverables, lead design meetings with clients and consultants, and support the project team with construction

Qualifications

• Completed studies in architecture, structural, civil engineering, MEP or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional design experience with a main contractor.
• Experience on data centre, pharma or industrial projects preferred.
• Fluent in English; another European language is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage design deliverables in line with construction and client requirements.
• Coordinate all design matters between client, designers, subcontractors and project team.
• Lead design meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Provide design information to support construction.
• Co-lead BIM coordination with BIM team; review drawings and submittals.
• Manage as-built design package with project team.
• Ensure quality control during construction via site visits.
• Report weekly/monthly design status.

Job description

Design Build Search are working with an international construction company who continue to expand throughout Ireland and Europe. Due to they have an opening for a Design Coordinator or Manager. The successful applicant can be based in our clients Maynooth office. The successful applicants must have previous Design experience with a main contractor. Previous experience on Data centre or industrial projects required.

Scope of projects:

Data centre, pharma and industrial

Minimum:

• Management of design deliverables in accordance with construction and Client’s requirements
• Coordination of all design matters between the key project stakeholders – Client, specialist designers, sub-contractors and Project Team
• Management of key milestone deliverables for completion in relation to quality of design, implementation and coordination of design changes including Quality Assurance in accordance with the design consultants contracted scope of services
• Lead design meetings with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors
• Support Project Team in terms of all necessary design information for construction
• Co-lead BIM Coordination process with BIM team Review and control of the construction drawings, shop drawings and technical submittals
• Management of As-built design Package with Project Team
• Quality control during construction via site visit
• Report weekly/monthly design status

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Completed studies in architecture, structural, civil engineering, MEP or a comparable qualification. In addition, several years of professional experience in one of the aforementioned areas.
• knowledge of materials and products and basic understanding in the field of fire protection and building physics as well as a good spatial imagination.
• Good knowledge in the use of BIM and CAD programs as well as in the field of digital management Solution-oriented thinking, negotiating skills as well as a good feel for people and issues and strong communication skills.
• Safe application of building standards and guidelines.
• Must be fluent in English, another European language would be beneficial
