Qualifications

• 3 years' experience working at social care grade with children.
• Sufficient experience with adults with disabilities/children with disabilities/complex needs.
• A thorough knowledge of the principles and practice of social care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise social care staff and deputise for the Manager; lead the team in their absence; support staff through supervision, meetings, and workload management.
• Ensure services meet HIQA, New Directions, and company standards; oversee audits, inspections, administration, and quality reporting.
• Support service users through individualised plans, promote independence, integration, community involvement, and manage behaviours of concern with positive behaviour support.
• Conduct and monitor health and safety checks, risk assessments, and safeguarding responsibilities; report and record accurately.
• Organise and deliver staff training, set goals in supervision, support continuous learning, and ensure all mandatory training is completed.
• Build rapport with service users, families, MDT, and staff; chair meetings, maintain confidentiality (GDPR), follow financial procedures, and act as a role model.
