Job summary

CPL Healthcare in Kilkenny announces a Deputy Manager position within a residential service for young people. The role carries responsibility for the care provided and for leading the staff delivering that care.

The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and national regulations, while maintaining a homely, clean and safe environment suitable for the young people's ages and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Psychology, Youth & Community or related field.
• Full, clean, manual driver's license (Ireland).
• Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in delivering high-quality care to looked-after young people.
• Oversee care delivery by staff and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Ensure the living environment is homely, clean, safe and appropriate for the young people’s ages and development.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations.

Education

Level 7 qualification in Social Care / Social Work / Psychology or related field

We are accepting applications for the position of Deputy Manager. This service is based in Piltown, Kilkenny. The Deputy Manager carries responsibility for the care delivered to the young people living in the residential service and for the staff who deliver that care. S/he is responsible for supporting the Manager in ensuring that the care given meets with company policies and procedures and with national regulations and that the environment in which the care is given is homely, clean, safe and appropriate for the young people’s ages and stages of development.

To be considered for the role, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum level 7 in any of the following fields: Social Care; Applied Social Studies in Social Care; Social Work, Psychology, Youth & Community or related Social Care Qualification
• Full, clean, manual driver's license (valid in Ireland)
• Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
