Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to share management duties and lead a staff team in our creche centre in Ireland. The role focuses on delivering high standards of care, safety and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor staff, implement the REACH curriculum in line with Aistear and Siolta, and drive continuous improvement across the centre. A genuine passion for early years and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
• Five years in childcare and at least two years in a supervisory role within the sector.
• Full clean EU driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• A strong passion for the needs and development of the individual child.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and manage the daily operations of the Centre in order to ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children, in line with all regulatory requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of children’s age and stage appropriate holistic needs and development.
• Dedicated to raising standards in early learning and care and will role model best practice to an outstanding level.
• Ability to implement the REACH curriculum demonstrating the links between early childcare education theory and practice in line with Aistear and Siolta.
• Ability to implement all company policies, procedures, health and safety/risk assessments as stipulated in the Childcare Regulations.
• Effective people and business management skills with the confidence and skills to cover all business aspects of the role.
• Excellent knowledge of and ability to implement child protection policies in line with Children First requirements and guidelines.
• Lead on development and evaluation of programmes and activities conducive to culturally sensitive learning environments.
