Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent quality.

You will monitor food quality and hygiene, adhere to HACCP regulations, and help the team maintain high standards under pressure in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotels or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with overall kitchen operations.
• Monitor food quality and hygiene standards as directed by managers.
• Follow Head Chef’s guidance to maintain excellence and efficiency.
• Observe HACCP regulations at all times.
• Support kitchen staff to maintain hygiene during preparation and storage.

Your Job

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.
• Take direction from department managers and to assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
• Follow the talented Head Chef’s example of excellence and efficiency.
• Always adhere to HACCP regulations
• Support your fellow kitchen staff in observing appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.

What You’ll Need

• Have previous experience working within hotels or in a similar role.
• Have a passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Have good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
