ACCPRO are working with a leading FMCG company to hire a Demand Planner. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining demand plans across multiple planning horizons, using operational data, customer requirements, historical trends and business forecasts.
You will also play an important role in improving planning processes, supporting SIOP activity and ensuring ERP/MRP systems are being used effectively.
This role is 5 days a week onsite and own transport will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts across multiple product categories and SKUs.
- Analyse demand using operational activity, customer requirements, historical consumption and other relevant data.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities to improve planning performance.
- Manage inventory requirements, including stock levels, purchase orders, lead times and replenishment.
- Identify and resolve stock shortages, excess inventory and potential obsolete or waste stock.
- Develop daily, weekly and monthly production plans aligned with forecast demand.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to support production planning and material requirements.
- Lead weekly demand and inventory review meetings and contribute to the monthly SIOP process.
- Work closely with Procurement, Operations, Warehouse, Finance and Production to align plans and priorities.
- Maintain accurate planning data and parameters within ERP/MRP systems.
- Support new product introductions, SKU creation, amendments and product changes.
- Produce regular KPI reporting and provide data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to demand planning, inventory management and wider supply chain processes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Planning or a similar role.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, catering, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong experience with forecasting, inventory planning and/or production scheduling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into practical recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP planning systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple teams and influencing operational decisions through data.
- Experience with SIOP / IBP processes would be beneficial.
- Experience with QAD or similar ERP systems would be an advantage.
- APICS CPIM or a relevant Supply Chain / Planning qualification would be beneficial.
