PepsiCo Ireland is seeking a Capacity Planning professional to compile and issue weekly production schedules for Operations, balancing demand against available capacity. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Raw Materials, Quality and Customer Service to confirm production plans and support on-time fulfilment.

This temporary role (up to 12 months) requires strong analytical skills and SAP experience to proactively manage constraints and optimize planning processes across multiple

Qualifications

  • Experience using SAP ECC/APO for MRP and production planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with quick decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Capable of working effectively in a team and managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented with initiative; ability to work independently.
  • FMCG environment experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and general MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and release weekly production schedules to Operations.
  • Review MRP requirements and develop production plans to meet demand.
  • Optimize capacity utilization across plants and manage volume.
  • Create detailed production schedules by work centre aligned with capacity.
  • Generate and release SAP Process Orders for manufacturing and rework orders.
  • Communicate customer order confirmations and quantities to ensure fulfilment targets.
  • Support inventory management, aging product utilization, and obsolescence review.
  • Maintain planning master data and production order policies to improve efficiency.
  • Assist cross-functional Planning and Supply Chain projects as required.

The role is within the Capacity Planning team, responsible for compiling and issuing weekly production schedules to Operations while balancing demand against available capacity. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills are used to proactively manage constraints, prioritise volume and respond to changes in demand or supply.

The position requires close cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Raw Materials, Quality, and Customer Service (amongst others) to confirm production plans, communicate impacts, and support on‑time customer fulfilment. The role demands the ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and maintain a strong customer and results focus.

This is a temporary basis opportunity for up to 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Scheduling
  • Review MRP requirements, develop production plans to meet these demands
  • Review capacity utilization and manage volume to optimize use of available capacity across plants
  • Develop detailed production schedules by work centre in line with capacity capabilities
  • Create and release Process Orders on SAP in line with production plan for all manufacturing, filling and rework orders
  • Determine and communicate Customer Order confirmation dates & quantities to the respective Customer Service Representative to ensure order fulfilment targets are met
  • Complete reporting requirements for the team & businessInventory managementReview product freshness and determine potential usage of ageing product via allocations process
  • Complete monthly excess and obsolescence inventory review and classify potential risk accordingly
  • Identify inventory for disposal and cross change
  • Control and compliance
  • Develop and maintain GCS documentation and ensure full compliance
  • Successfully complete SOX and GCS audits as required
  • Information management
  • Maintain planning master data as required
  • Develop and maintain production order policies (Minimum & Maximum Batch sizes) to optimize plant efficiency and working capital requirements while ensuring product availability to meet Customer demands
  • Training and documentationProvide cover as required across the planning area
  • Ensure a comprehensive set of up-to-date training manuals are in place for each planning area
  • Support the development and implementation of OH initiatives within the Planning and Inventory department and across the broader Supply Chain
  • Support development of world class production planning processes and systems
  • Actively look to engage & support Planning and Supply Chain projects as required
  • Actively look to develop and improve Cross Function Engagement
  • Support new product introductions through the provision of timely and accurate information to the NPI process
Qualifications
  • Experience in use of SAP (ECC / APO for MRP).
  • Analytical skills, with a proven ability to problem solve and make quick decisions
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Be capable of working effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks, with strong attention to detail
  • Results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives; Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent customer awareness and customer focus
  • Third level qualification in Supply Chain or related discipline
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Office specifically MS Excel
  • Experience working in a FMCG environment
