Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Deli Manager for our client’s convenience store in Co. Kerry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated deli professional to take responsibility for a successful fresh food department, leading a dedicated team while maintaining excellent standards of food quality, customer service, and operational performance.

This role offers an excellent work-life balance with Monday to Friday working hours and no weekend shifts.

Competenze

• Experience as Deli Manager or similar in grocery or fresh foods.
• Strong leadership to manage a deli team.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene.

Deli Manager – Convenience Store - Co. Kerry

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Deli Manager for our client’s convenience store in Co. Kerry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated deli professional to take responsibility for a successful fresh food department, leading a dedicated team while maintaining excellent standards of food quality, customer service, and operational performance. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with Monday to Friday working hours and no weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the deli department, ensuring high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation
• Lead, train, and motivate the deli team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive working environment
• Manage stock ordering, rotation, waste control, and profit margins to achieve departmental sales and profitability targets
• Monitor daily sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue through promotions, meal deals, and fresh food initiatives
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations throughout the deli department
• Work closely with store management to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, merchandising, product availability, and overall department performance

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Deli Manager, Assistant Deli Manager, or experienced Deli Supervisor within a supermarket, convenience store, forecourt, or fresh food environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a busy deli team
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene procedures, and fresh food preparation
• Good commercial awareness with experience managing sales, margins, stock control, ordering, and waste management
• Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills with a passion for fresh food and maintaining high standards
• Hands-on and proactive management approach with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
