Job summary

SuperValu is seeking a deli operative to prepare high quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction remains a top priority.

The ideal candidate will value teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment, have a passion for food, and be able to share knowledge and recommendations with shoppers. This role is full-time, based in Greystones, County Wicklow.

Qualifications

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and multi-task under pressure.
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across fresh food areas: make sandwiches/rolls, dish up hot food, slice meats using portion control measures.
• Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
• Keep counter displays across fresh food departments at the highest standard at all times.
• Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers to showcase quality food.
• Deal with customer queries efficiently and professionally, in line with store policy.

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas i.e. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using the store`s portion control measures
• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.

This is a full time position and does not suit secondary or third level students
