Job summary

Centra in Drogheda, Termonfeckin area is seeking a friendly Deli Assistant to prepare high quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction.

You will make sandwiches, dishes and manage counter displays, serving customers quickly in a fast-paced store. Hours are 6am to 3pm, 4/5 days per week, with pay based on experience.

Experience in customer service is advantageous; HACCP training is desirable but not required; you will join a supportive team with excellent equipment.

Job description

Main purpose of the role:
Responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold deli products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.

  Main duties:

• Actively live Centra brand-values i.e. Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based
• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas i.e. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using the store`sportion control measures
• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.

About the locality:

Experience is required for this role.

Must be able to serve customers, clean properly and basic cooking such as breakfast and dinner.

Hours are 6am to 3pm over 4/5 days per week, fairness is applied in relation toweekend work and across the entire team.

Working with a great team, and working with excellent equipment.

Pay will be based on experience.
