Job summary

Centra is seeking a friendly Deli/Fresh Food Sales Assistant to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority.

You'll work across all fresh food areas, making sandwiches, dishing up hot foods, and slicing meats with portion-control measures. A strong passion for food and customer service is essential, with the ability to work in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• HACCP training desirable but not required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Teamwork and multitasking under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deli orders, make sandwiches and rolls.
• Cook, prepare and display hot foods and sliced meats.
• Maintain high-standard counter displays across fresh food departments.
• Share knowledge, recipes and recommendations with customers.
• Handle customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.

Main purpose of the role:
Responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold deli products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.Main duties:

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas i.e. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using the store`sportion control measures
• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.

About the locality:

Full-Time Position(Including during the academic year)

Please note that the start and finish times stated are only an approximate but will include morning, afternoon and evening shifts. The successful candidate must be available to work across these hours

As a Deli/Fresh Food Sales Assistant you are required to use specialised equipment, therefore you must be 18 or over to work in our store.

This role can include working in other areas of the store eg. shop floor, meat dept

Monday shift: 07:30 to 16:30

Wednesday shift: 07:30 to 16:30

Thursday shift: 07:30 to 16:30

Friday shift: 07:30 to 16:30

Saturday shift: 07:30 to 15:30
