Job summary

Centra in Galway is seeking a dedicated deli assistant to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli items and ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority. You will work across fresh food sections, crafting sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes and slicing meats with precise portion control.

The role requires a passion for food, teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and a customer-focused approach. On-site role with early morning shifts in Galway.

Qualifications

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, multi-task under pressure.
• A passion for food and ability to inspire shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across fresh food areas; make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using portion control.
• Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
• Ensure counter displays across all fresh food departments are maintained to high standards.
• Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.

• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.

Monday shift: 07:00 to 15:00

Tuesday shift: 07:00 to 15:00

Wednesday shift: 07:00 to 15:00
