Job summary

ACI Worldwide in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Data Scientist to design and implement data-driven solutions for client services and product enhancements. You will work with product teams to frame questions, build scalable models, and automate data pipelines.

The role requires a strong foundation in statistics or related field, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to communicate insights to business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PhD preferred in statistics, CS, physics or related field.
• 2+ years of industry or related field experience.
• Experience with RAG pipelines and Agentic Process in secure environments.
• Familiarity with agentic-based development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and programs methods to analyze big data and generate insights for services and products.
• Interacts with product and service teams to identify data questions and experiments.
• Develops algorithms and automated processes to cleanse and evaluate large datasets.
• Communicates insights from analyses to product, service and business managers.
• Develops predictive models using statistical and ML methods.
• Manages moderate-complexity projects across model development and delivery.

Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyse unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.
• Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
• Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Typical work day

• Develops predictive models for customers utilizing a variety of statistical and machine learning algorithms.
• Holds responsibility for projects of a moderate degree of complexity.
• Executes all stages of model development and delivery including data definition, sampling, preprocessing, feature selection, model generation, and validation and support or production model release.
• Validates and prepares data for model development, performs exploratory data analysis and data cleaning on large datasets and queries and visualizes data with a variety of tools.
• Works with a team of scientists and engineers responsible for the development and deployment of the state-of-the‑art predictive models for a variety of financial applications.
• This includes the design, development and deployment of statistical predictive models.

Risk Management

• Understand and comply with Risk Management program requirements including Identification of risks, key controls, and control testing as applicable to their responsibilities.

Corporate Policies

• Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, PhD preferred in Statistical Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Computational Chemistry or related field.
• 2+ years industry or related field experience.
• Proficient in managing RAG pipelines and development of Agentic Process in a save and secure manner.
• Prior experience in working with agentic based development is favorable.
