Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develops predictive models for customers using a variety of statistical and machine learning methods.
  • Manages projects of moderate complexity from inception to delivery.
  • Executes all stages of model development: data definition, sampling, preprocessing, feature selection, model generation, validation and deployment.
  • Prepares and cleans data, performs exploratory analysis, and visualizes data with tools.
  • Collaborates with scientists and engineers on production deployment of predictive models.
  • Understands Risk Management requirements, controls, and testing in scope of responsibilities.
  • Adheres to corporate policies including the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

This purpose of this Data Scientist is:

Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyse unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

A typical day at ACI for a Data Scientist is:
  • Develops predictive models for customers utilizing a variety of statistical and machine learning algorithms.

  • Holds responsibility for projects of a moderate degree of complexity.

  • Executes all stages of model development and delivery including data definition, sampling, preprocessing, feature selection, model generation, and validation and support or production model release.

  • Validates and prepares data for model development, performs exploratory data analysis and data cleaning on large datasets and queries and visualizes data with a variety of tools.

  • Works with a team of scientists and engineers responsible for the development and deployment of the state-of-the-art predictive models for a variety of financial applications. This includes the design, development and deployment of statistical predictive models.

  • Understands and complies with Risk Management program requirements including
    Identification of risks, key controls, and control testing as applicable to their responsibilities.

  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, PhD preferred in Statistical Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Computational Chemistry or related field.

  • 2+ years industry or related field experience.

  • Proficient in managing RAG pipelines and development of Agentic Process in a save and secure manner.

  • Prior experience in working with agentic based development is favorable
