Job summary

EY’s AI Lab in Ireland is seeking a Data Scientist - Manager to lead the development of predictive and generative AI solutions for global clients. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers and consultants to turn research into scalable business impact.

The role focuses on generative AI, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation, with emphasis on translating analytics into tangible client value in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years’ experience in data science or applied ML.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Experience with data wrangling, model development and evaluation on Azure Databricks or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with LLMs and embeddings for agentic applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate predictive and generative models using Python and cloud ML frameworks.
• Develop features and data pipelines in collaboration with engineering teams using Spark and Azure Data Factory.
• Integrate models into agentic AI solutions: recommendation, classification, forecasting and decision support.
• Leverage LLMs for data augmentation, summarisation and contextual reasoning.
• Communicate results clearly through visualisations and stakeholder presentations (Power BI).
