Job summary

EY Ireland’s AI Lab in Dublin is seeking a senior data scientist to design and deploy predictive and generative models across client projects. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build scalable pipelines, apply Azure Databricks, Spark and ML frameworks, and leverage LLMs for advanced analytics and decision support.

Experienced professionals with 5-7+ years in data science will drive model development, explainability and impact-focused insights using Power BI and dashboards

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years' experience in data science or applied ML.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Experience with data wrangling, model development and evaluation on Azure Databricks or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with LLMs and embeddings for agentic applications.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate predictive and generative models using Python and cloud ML frameworks.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 5-7 + years' experience in data science or applied ML.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Experience with data wrangling, model development and evaluation on Azure Databricks or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with LLMs and embeddings for agentic applications.

Ideally, you will also have

• Knowledge of LangChain/LangGraph and hybrid AI architectures combining predictive and generative AI.
• Experience with explainability, bias detection and responsible AI practices.
• Consulting experience translating analytics into business impact.
