Job summary

The Recruitment Company Australia is seeking a Data Science leader to Dublin-based team, with hybrid working. This senior role combines people leadership, technical direction and stakeholder engagement to influence how Data Science and AI are used across the organisation.

You will lead a team of Data Scientists, shape the organisation’s approach to analytics, deliver scalable solutions, and translate business needs into data-led outcomes in partnership with technology and business units.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Science leadership or management position.
• Strong technical background in Data Science, including Python or R, SQL and machine learning.
• Experience across the Data Science lifecycle, including model development, deployment and monitoring.
• Good understanding of MLOps and taking machine learning solutions into production.
• Experience applying AI or machine learning to real-world business challenges.
• Experience working with modern cloud-based data and analytics technologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to connect technical work with measurable business outcomes.
• Degree or master's qualification in Computer Science, Data Science.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Data Scientists, supporting their growth and helping to build a strong team.
• Help shape the organisation’s wider approach to Data Science, AI and analytics.
• Work with technology and data teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Identify opportunities where Data Science and AI can solve business problems and improve outcomes.
• Support the introduction of new technologies and approaches where they can add genuine value.
• Encourage good development practices and the effective reuse of data and analytics solutions.
• Work with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical data-led solutions.
• Help promote the use of data and analytics across the wider organisation.
