Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland seeks an experienced Data Product Owner to drive the development and continuous improvement of enterprise data products and platforms. You will translate complex business needs into scalable data solutions and lead cross-functional teams across data engineers, architects and analytics functions.

With a strong background in data ecosystems, Agile delivery and product management, you will engage senior stakeholders and manage the product backlog to deliver high business

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Data Product Manager or Product Owner working on data initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, data warehousing, data lakes and modern data architectures.
• Experience delivering data and analytics products within Agile environments.
• Strong backlog management, requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product roadmap for data platforms, data products and analytics solutions.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Business Analysts and Analytics teams.
• Drive the delivery of data pipelines, data integration, data quality and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, priorities and success metrics.
• Support data governance, data quality, metadata management and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement and product reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, usability and business value.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams.
• Proven experience as a Data Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Data Product Manager or Product Owner working on data initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, data warehousing, data lakes and modern data architectures.
• Experience delivering data and analytics products within Agile environments.
• Strong backlog management, requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar Agile delivery tools.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality and data lifecycle management.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric.
• BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Experience with enterprise data transformation or modernisation programmes.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance frameworks.
• Relevant Agile, Scrum or Product Owner certifications.
